Harlem in high res

Gerard Maynard and Alexandre Jenny of Kodak have collaborated on a massively high resolution stitched panorama of Harlam in New York.

The scene is built up from 2,045 pictures taken on a Nikon D2X and results in an image with 13 gigapixels (13,000,000,000+). It took over 2 hours to capture the scene using a automated system and the final image size is 279,689 x 46,901 pixels.

You can view and zoom-into the image on this site. There’s also additional information on the artist and the techniques used.
