Another DSLR from Canon at Photokina?
The rumour mill is still buzzing with the possibility of another DSLR from Canon at Photokina. See Northlight Image’s page (28 August entry). There’s also some interesting bits on possible future technology from Canon on the 27th of August entry.
The question is, if they do release another DSLR will it be a model with video recording or a full-frame replacement for the 5D? There have been rumours of both but I personally hope, if there is a model, that it’s a 5D replacement.
If it’s not and they just update the 450D to a 500D with video there are going to be a lot of angry people out there wondering if Canon ever intend to update the 5D. Not to mention all the new 450D owners who will feel somewhat put out at having their model replaced so quickly.

I’d love this to be the spec of the replacement for the Canon 5D - but it’s just a little too much in the vain of the “what I’d love to see if I designed the next 5D” school of rumours. Still, you never know…
