If you have a Apple Mac and a Nikon you might want to take a look at the press release on the Nikon / Microsoft agreement that’s just been announced.

There was some speculation that the NRW format used in the new Nikon P6000 might be locked into Windows and after seeing this I’m starting to think there may be some grounds for these concerns.

I using Canon equipment at the moment and while I had considered the P6000 I’m not at all sure I’ll be in any hurry to buy a Nikon until a lot more information about the exact implications of this “cross-licensing” agreement have been revealed.

Update

Adobe now support the P6000 in their RAW converter.
