Leica compacts

Leica have announced the D-LUX 4 and C-LUX 3, these are rebadged version of Panasonic’s LX-3 and FX-37.

They optimistically label the D-LUX 4 as the “Son of M8″. It does have a fast lens and RAW but that’s about as far as it goes really. It’s missing a large sensor, interchangeable lenses, a rangefinder focusing system, etc, etc, etc.

Still, the LX-3 / D-LUX 4 does look like an interesting digicam and it’s much cheaper than an M8.2.
