40D, 1st look (from a 1Ds1 user)
Thursday, September 27th, 2007I’ve sold on my 1Ds Mark 1 (1Ds1) and purchased a stop-gap 40D while I await the release of a 5D replacement - hopefully in the next 6 months. The 40D provides me with 91% of the resolution of the 1Ds1, in a much more compact and light-weight package. It also costs less than I sold on the 1Ds1 for so it’s a win-win (for now).
